1920's Dress with Circular Skirt and Cape

Made from a sheer cotton/Poly voile fabric in yellow floral. The upper is a 20's-flavored sheath with long bust darts. Decorated at the V-Neck with a circular cape and bell sleeves, trimmed with white lace and small self-bow. The skirt is a full circle, high in the front, low in the back, also lace-trimmed. Hand-wash or Dry Clean.

Size medium, modern dress size 10-12. The dressform modeling the dress measures 39" bust, 29" waist, and 39" hip. A few inches in either direction should fit fine. Dress pulls over head, no zipper.

My days as a costume designer in Regional Theatre are now 25 years behind me, which means I've been doing contemporary and retro clothing design for a quarter century. About 7 years ago, a local Mardi Gras Krewe approached me about doing a runway show to raise money for charity. The theme was "Roaring 20's", which is a period I love for fashion.  I said yes because I thought it would be fun, even though I knew the outfits would likely hang on my sale rack for years...the remaining 5 from the original 12 in what I named "The Speakeasy Collection" are now here on the "Boomerang" site. They can't be made again, and they only come in the size and color you see here. They are not previously worn, aside from the fashion show. Great for Theatre, cosplay, or even street wear with a period vibe.
