Bias Cut "Flapper" Slip

Regular price $75.00 $0.00

Bias-cut slip in 100% Silk works well under 1920's dresses, which are often too sheer to wear alone. Neck and armholes bound with bias. Circular skirt seams to bodice at waist. Length from shoulder to hem is 40".  Color is Ivory. Note: neckline is round, does not work with V-neck dresses.  Hand-wash or Dry Clean.

Size Medium. The dressform wearing it measures 39" bust, 29" waist, 39" hip. If your body measures within one or two inches in either direction, it should fit fine. I regret I cannot make it again, so what you see is what there is.

My days as a costume designer in Regional Theatre are now 25 years behind me, which means I've been doing contemporary and retro clothing design for a quarter century. About 7 years ago, a local Mardi Gras Krewe approached me about doing a runway show to raise money for charity. The theme was "Roaring 20's", which is a period I love for fashion.  I said yes because I thought it would be fun, even though I knew the outfits would likely hang on my sale rack for years...the remaining 5 from the original 12 in what I named "The Speakeasy Collection" are now here on the "Boomerang" site. They can't be made again, and they only come in the size and color you see here. They are not previously worn, aside from the fashion show. Great for Theatre, cosplay, or even street wear with a period vibe.
